PDE 1/21, SUO 1/28, and CCMC 2/1 Challenges

PDE 1/21, SUO 1/28, and CCMC 2/1 Challenges

This week I chose to do three challenges within one card. I thought the idea of using no layers was interesting and was definitely a challenge! I had card club this Friday night in which we made FOUR cards, all using items from the new SU! Occasions Mini 2014 and Sale-A-Bration, so I will be posting these over the next week.

3. SUO

"...our challenge is to make a card with NO layers!  Embellishments are fine.  But only that basic flat or folded card. "

Here is my finished product...

Ingredients:

Paper:
- Very Vanilla Cardstock (4 1/4 x 5 1/2)

Ink:
- Sahara Sand Ink Pad
- Crisp Cantaloupe Ink Pad
- Pistachio Pudding Ink Pad

Stamp Sets:
Secret Garden
- You're Lovely*

Other:
- 2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch

*2014 Sale-A-Bration Item

Just a few things that may not be obvious just by looking at the card:

- As the SUO challenge states, there are NO layers so...
- I used the masking technique (with the punched out scalloped circle) to keep the section where the sentiment is stamped clear to do the stamping in.
- To give some dimension, I sponged the edges and the card itself using the SU! Sponges and Sahara Sand Ink.

Hope you enjoy!
